Headquarters

Teatro degli Arcimboldi, Milano

Teatro degli Arcimboldi, built by the City of Milan in collaboration with Pirelli and designed by Studio Gregotti Associati International, is a unique theater building in terms of acoustics, visuals and technological equipment. Designed in three amenity spaces comprising the foyer, hall and stage tower with a seating capacity of 2346.

STM Studio is a multimedia space within the Teatro degli Arcimboldi, programmed and managed by the acting students of the academic courses. A production, training, and experimentation space open to the public and to new expressions of contemporary musical theatre.

Milan is the theater capital of Italy. The Arcimboldi, which hosts musicals, shows and concerts by world famous artists, is the heart of the huge industrial conversion project that has transformed the area from a working-class neighborhood to a center of contemporary art which includes Hangar Bicocca, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Cineteca Italiana and Spazio Mil. Trendy stores are housed in the Bicocca Village shopping center, and the nearby North Milan Park offers a large green area with trails and picnic areas.

Teatro Coccia, Novara

STM’s historic headquarters is located inside Novara’s Teatro Coccia, one of the most important and beautiful traditional theaters in Italy. The Coccia Theater is the only traditional theater in the Piedmont Region. It was built from the previous Morellian theater, erected in the second half of the 18th century. The Coccia Theater has undergone several transformations over the years where the most recent work, dating back to 1993, has given the theater its actual structure. The hall consists of stalls, three tiers of boxes and two galleries, with a total seating capacity of 917. Teatro Coccia’s season annually features 130 live performances between playbill and hosted events with an audience attendance of more than 80,000.

The space is organized on three floors and covers more than 500 square meters. Inside this space is the Piccolo Coccia (the theater’s ridotto with a stage, stalls and resident light and sound system), the Rehearsal Room, the Dance Room, the Choir Room, the Singing Room, the Director’s Space, the Library/Mediatheque, a Relaxation Area, a small Recording Studio and the Secretariat. The elements that characterize the teaching spaces, such as wood and natural light, ensure an optimal working environment and creative atmosphere.
